 Claude W. "Dub" Jernigan, 63, of Valdosta, went home on Tuesday, March 23, 
2004. He came into this world on June 23, 1940, in Valdosta, the son of the 
late Archie and Daisy Jones Jernigan.

 He was a painter for many years. He enjoyed music and watching the "preaching 
channel."

 He loved his family dearly. Mr. Jernigan was a member of Bemiss Road Baptist 
Church

 Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Criswell, Judy Benavides; four 
grandchildren. sisters and brothers in law; Gloria and Lloyd Luke, Mildred 
Croft, Dorothy Blanchard, Gladys Lofton, all of Valdosta, Merle Blanton of High 
Springs, FL, Ava Nell and George Blanchard of Valdosta; brothers and sister in 
law, Archie Jernigan of Lake City, FL, Wayne and JoAnn Jernigan of Valdosta; 
special nieces, Sherry Croft and Debbie Walker and several other nieces and 
nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary "Myrtle" 
Coody; and a brother, Alfred Jernigan. 

 Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2004 in the chapel of 
the Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Cannington and the Rev. 
James Cagle officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family 
will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
