Trapnell Edenfield Hunter
Mr. Trapnell Edenfield Hunter died Wednesday, June 10, 1998 at his residence in 
Valdosta. He was born in Statesboro on September 25, 1917 to Atty. Francis B. 
Hunter and Terah Louise Trapnell Hunter. Following his parents death at age 13, 
he lived in Ocilla with his aunt and uncle, Clara and Ben Williams.
Mr. Hunter was a resident of the Atlanta area for 42 years prior to retiring 
and moving to Valdosta in 1989. He was a graduate of John Marshall University. 
He retired from SAFECO Insurance Company, having been Southeast
 Divisions Claims Manager for 10 years, and earlier the Atlanta Claims Office 
Manager. He was a former member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1950, 
and .the Atlanta Claims Association. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving 
in the South Pacific. Mr. Hunter was also a Mason.
Surviving are his wife,	Minnie Ruth Hunter; a son William Hunter of Virginia 
Beach: VA; daughter, Ann Exum of Valdosta; two grandchildren; one brother, 
Atty. Harry Hunter of Sylvania, four brothers preceded him in death. They were 
Lee Hunter,Lewis Hunter, Francis Hunter and W. W. Brannen, all originally from 
Statesboro.
Services were held Saturday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Carson 
McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta with Rev. Delos Sharpton and Rev. Mac Weaver 
officiating. Burial was held in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Carson McLane Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
