Atkinson County Citizen - September 25, 2014
 Mrs. Patricia Lynn Horton Head, age 50, of Valdosta, GA., formerly of 
Willacoochee, GA. passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014, in Mt. Vernon, IL. 
following  a short illness.
 She was born July 3, 1964, in Ocilla, GA, daughter of the late Willis Jr. and 
Mavadell Carmichael Horton. She lived most of her life in the Willacoochee and 
Douglas area and worked in sales for many years and also ran her own 
housecleaning business. She was a member of Reedy Branch Baptist church.
 Survivors include two daughters, Amber Edge and husband Chris of Douglas, GA, 
and April Hulett a and husband Robbie of Valdosta, GS; former husband, Steve 
Head of Douglas, GA; five brothers, Olen Horton and wife Virginia of 
Willacoochee, GA, Jesse W. Horton and wife Nina of Ray City, GA, Billy Horton 
and wife Barbara of Adel, GA, Darrell Horton and wife Retha of Willacoochee, GA, 
and Jerry Horton and wife Debbie of St. Augustine, FL; two sisters, Christell 
Williams, Willacoochee, GA, and Christine Luke and husband Curtis of 
Willacoochee, GA; three grandchildren, Jaycilyn Wiggins, Swayzie Edge and Lakyn 
Hulett; several nieces and nephews also survive.
 Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Head were held Sunday, September 21, 2014, 
at 4 p.m. at the Willacoochee City Cemetery with Rev. Robbie Hulett and Mr.. 
Walt Dockery officiating. A special musical number was performed by Kaylyn 
Prescott and Allie Mancil to the song "She's in Better Hands." 
 The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were john Horton, Anthony Mancil, Danny Horton, 
Walt Dockery, Josh Horton, Kevin Horton.
 Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
