  Telmon Moses Daniels Sr., 85, of Valdosta died January 16, 2009 at his r
residence.
  Born August 10, 1923 in Irwin Co. to the late Moses and Effie Daniels, he 
served as an elder in the South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was a 
veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Owens Illinois as a chemist. He 
earned a degree in chemical engineering and was involved in the disaster relief 
for flood victims. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and
great-grandfather.
  Survivors include his wife, Callie Daniels of Valdosta; five children and their
spouses, Tom, Sr. and Dorothy Daniels of Moultrie, Jean and 
grandfather.

their spouses, Tom, Sr. and Dorothy Daniels of Moultrie, Jean and Mark Fenton 
of Hempstead, TX, Cynthia Marshall, Telmon Moses (Danny) Jr. and Marsha 
Daniels, Greg and Janet Daniels all of Valdosta; grandchildren and their 
spouses, Lisa and Steve Carter of Kernersville, NC, Tommy, Jr. and Carin 
Daniels of Madison, FL, Andrew Daniels of Moultrie, Tana and Thomas Macera, 
Ryan Marshall, Jason Daniels, Salina Daniels, Jack Daniels, Jake Daniels, 
Joshua Daniels, Robbie Daniels all of Valdosta, Jeff McDuffie of Gainesville, 
FL; great-grandchildren, Katie Delafore, Tommy Carter, Lanie Carter, Zach 
Daniels, Taylor Macera, Ty Macera and Leia McDuffie; numerous nieces and 
nephews; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Vivian Browing of Velano Beach, FL, 
Kermit and Janet Browning of Tifton. He was preceded in death by a grandson, 
Robert James Asbell, Jr.
  A memorial service for family and friends was held at 4 p.m. January 18 at 
the South Congregation Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Bro. Jim Leedy off
officiating.
  A private graveside service was held Jan. 17 at Mt. Zion Dasher Cemetery with Br
Bro Neal Greenwell officiating.
  Carson McLane Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
