Obituary of William Buford Beasley as written on page 6 of "The Camilla 
Enterprise" dated 1 Aug 1958.  Camilla, Georgia.  
William Buford Beasley, of Valdosta, a native of Sale City where he was born 
and reared, died of a heart attack late Thursday evening, July 24th, at his 
home in Valdosta.  He had been in ill health for about three years but had not 
missed a day from work, even the day he died.  His body was brought back to 
Mitchell County and funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, July 27th, at 
four o'clock at the Pebble City Baptist Church.  The Rev. Tom Richter, of 
Moultrie, assisted by the Rev. H. N. Earnest, officiated.  Interment was in the 
Pebble City cemetery.  Active pallbearers were Rudy Rigsby, Randy Rigsby, Roy 
Rogers, Roy Beasley, Allison Broome and Joe Lee.  An honorary escort was formed 
by the men with whom he was associated with in work at Valdosta.  He had been 
in Valdosta for about the last ten years working as repairman for the Lee 
Typewrter Company and traveling over south Georgia making repairs on machines.  
Mr. Beasley was married in early life to the former Miss Inez Rigsby, of Pebble 
City community, daughter of the late Rev. Ribsby.  She survives him along with 
their six children, Winston Beasley of Andalusia, Ala., Arthur Beasley who is 
in the service and stationed on Saipan Islands, Gene Beasley of Miami, Fla., 
Mrs. Mayo McDonald of Valdosta, Mrs. Forrest Duren of Miami, Fla., and Jerry 
Beasley, also of Valdosta.  Mr. Beasley was the son of Mr. J. N. (Buddy) 
Beasley of Sale City, and the late Mrs. Beasley.  His father survives him.  The 
deceased was a member of the Sale City Methodist Church.  Brothers and sisters 
who survive include Mr. Tommy Beasley of Sale City, Mrs. Wilburn Ingram of 
Berlin and Mrs. Lonnie Johnson of Moultrie.
