                    Grover Cleveland "Cleve" Arnold III
Grover Cleveland "Cleve" Arnold III, 55 of Valdosta, died suddenly on Tuesday, 
march 17, 2009, at Langdale Hospice House. He was born Jan. 26,1954 in 
Valdosta. Cleve was a graduate of Valdosta High School and Valdosta State 
University where he received a degree in accounting. He worked for many years 
as a financial planner with American Express Financial Services and retired 
three years ago from Amerprise. He loved being outside, both at his home and 
family farm. Cleve loved hunting and fishing and was an excellent cook on the 
grill and smoker. He was devoted to humbly serving others in any way they 
needed. Cleve was a devoted and loving husband, father, and friend. He was a 
member of Central Avenue Church of Christ.
 Cleve is survived by his wife, Dee Arnold of Valdosta; daughter, Emily Arnold 
of Parris Island, SC; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and David Roddey of 
Hahira; parents-in-law, George and Martha Jean Clayton of Valdosta; sister-in-
law, Sheree Clayton Hudson of Valdosta; eight aunts and uncles; and he was 
especially close to his uncle, Durward Arnold of Valdosta. He is also survived 
by four nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
 Cleve was preceded in death by his parents, G. C. and Jewell Arnold.
 Services will be held at 4pm Friday, March 20, 2009, in the chapel of Carson 
McLane Funeral Home with Bryan Jarvis and John Klimko officiating. Burial will 
follow in Dasher cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm today at 
the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the 
American Heart Association or Hospice of South Georgia, PO Box 1727, Valdosta, 
Ga. 31603. Condolences to the family may be conveyed on the obituary page.
