Estelle M. Freeman

OCILLA  Estelle M. Freeman, 96, of the Holt Community in Irwin County, died 
Tuesday, January 7, 2003, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Holt Baptist Church in Irwin County with 
interment in Spring Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Sonny Pate, the Rev. David Biggers 
and the Rev. John Gibbs will officiate.

A native of Berrien County, Mrs. Freeman was born March 8, 1906. She lived in 
the community most of her life. She was a homemaker and a former manager of the 
lunch room at Holt School. Mrs. Freeman was a former member of the Home 
Demonstration Club and a member of Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Church. She 
was the daughter of the late Leila (Griffin) Mobley and Warren Mobley. She was 
preceded in death by a son, James Kenneth Paulk, her first husband, Lonnie 
Paulk, four sisters and five brothers.

Survivors include her husband, D.J. "Jack" Freeman of Irwin County; a son and 
daughter-in-law, Orman and Wilma Paulk of Ocilla; daughter-in-law, Nellie Paulk 
of Moultrie; sister, Ruth Odum of Ocilla; two grandchildren, Ronald Paulk of 
Waycross and Linda Duncan of Moultrie; four great-grandchildren; and three 
great-great grandchildren.
