Mrs. Farmer was born April 19, 1937, in Ocilla to the late Mitchell and Etta Cannady Hopson. She lived in the community all of her life and was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to church and playing BINGO at the nursing home. Mrs. Farmer was a member of Pine Hill Baptist church and formerly attended Grace Baptist Church. She is survived by two sisters, Bernice and Harry Sutton of Nashville and Essie Bell Dosch of Greenville, SC; brother, Johnny and Darlene Hopson of Mystic; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Lamar Farmer and a brother, Mitchel Glenn Hopson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 19 at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, with the Rev. Derrell Hampton officiating. Interment was in the Old Valley Grove Cemetery.
