Ola Mae H. Carver

 Mrs. Ola Mae Harper Carver,86, of Ocilla, passed away
Wednesday, May 20, 1997 at Shady Acres Convalescent
Center in Douglas following an extended illness.
 Mrs. Carver, was born November 8, 1910, the daughter
of the late Dawson W. and Rebecca McDonald Harper. She
was a homemaker and widow of the late James Lee Carver. She was a member of Lax 
Holiness Baptist Church.
 Survivors include one daughter Arlo Carver Harper of
Douglas; one son 0tto Carver of Thomasville, GA; one sister, Inez Whitley of 
Ocilla; two grandsons, Faron Carver of Ocilla and Craig Harper of Willacoochee,
GA; one granddaughter, Kay Paulk of Douglas and seven
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchiId.
 Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday May 23, 1997 at the Sims Funeral 
Home Chapel in Douglas with Rev. Elisha Purvis, Jr. and Rev. Roy 
Davis,Jr.officiating.
 Special music was provided by Mann & Janie Kirkland with taped accompaniment. 
Pianist Janie Kirkland provided soft music for the prelude and postlude.
 Pallbearers were Ray Ricketson, Leland Dees, Charles Larry Daniel,D.W. Harper, 
Brad Purvis, Bobby McKinnon and Kenny Purvis.
 Interment was at the Vickers Rural Cemetery near Ambrose.
 Sims Funeral Home of Douglas was in charge of the
arrangements.
