Mary Brooks

Mrs. Mary Brooks of Nashville, died Saturday, April 25, 1998, at Palemon 
Gaskins Nursing Home in Ocilla. She was 73.
Mrs. Brooks was born August 12, 1924 in Irwjn County, the daughter of 
Newt and Bessie Willingham Hudson. She was a homemaker and a retired 
waitress. Mrs. Brooks attended the Ocilla Primitive Baptist Church and 
was a past Worthy Matron Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Brooks of Nashville; one 
daughter, Peggy Webb of Salem, AR;t;wo sons, Bobby Brooks and Edward 
Swiger, both of Nashville; two sisters, Ann Tucker and Martha McCook, 
both of Ocilla; three brothers, Lonnie Hudson and Henry Hudson, both of 
Ocilla, and Newt Hudson Jr. of Hialeah, Florida, six grandchildren; and 
eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, April 27, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at Lovein 
Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Dale Smith officiating.
Pallbearers were Robbie Brooks, Jimmy Herod, Michael Taylor, Shawn 
Taylor, Chuck  Minter, and Tony Taylor. Interment was held at Westview 
Cemetery.
Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
