 J. C. Blackstock, 62, of Fitzgerald died November 1, 2005 at Emory University 
Hospital in Atlanta.
 Born December 15, 1942 in Wilcox County to the late John Joseph "Jody" and 
Mildred Chaney Blackstock, he was a retired security officer for Walmart 
Distribution Center in Douglas and a former employee of United Farm Tools, 
Paulk Manufacturing and Fitzgerald Oil and Fertilizer Co. He was a member of 
Victory Singers and a former coach with the Department of Leisure Service. He 
was of the Holiness faith and attended Christian Tabernacle.
 Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Blackstock of Fitzgerald; daughter, Dee 
Blackstock of Fitzgerald; son, Eddie Blackstock of Fitzgerald; four sisters, 
Betty Pitts, Carolyn Bryan, Kay Ford, all of Fitzgerald, Barbara Ann Brogdon of 
Nashville; three grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held November 4 at 2 p.m. at Paulk Funeral Home Chapel 
with the Revs. Glenn Fussell and Wilburn Wiley officiating.
 Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
 Paulk Funeral Home of Fitzgerald was in charge of arrangements.
