William J. "Bill"    Biggers

Mr. Williani J. "Bill" Biggers of Fitzgerald, died Sunday, April 26, 
1998 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald. He was 71.
, Mr. Biggers was born August 13, 1926 in Bremen, the son of Starling M. 
and Effie Howard Biggers. He had lived in Ben Hill and Irwin Counties 
most of his :1ife. He was a former employee of Rhodes Motors in 
Fitzgerald and was also a former Owner and Operator of Biggers Garage in 
Fitzgerald. He worked in shipyards in  Brunswick during WW II and was a 
former hog farmer. He was a retired Auto Mechanic.
I Survivors include his wife,  Jane A. Biggers of Fitzgerald; three 
brothers, Gordon Biggers, Stanley Biggers, bothof Fitzgerald; and Howard 
Biggers of OcilIa;three sisters,Elizabeth Luke and Lois Forrest of 
Monticello, and  Betty Jane Vaughn  of Riverdale;  several  nieces and   
 nephews.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 28, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at 
Evergreen. Cemetery in Fitzgerald with Pastor Jim Shadwick officiating.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
