Floyd Alford
The funeral service tor Floyd Alford of Satilla Rd., Ocilla, who died 
Friday, January 31, 1997 at his residence, was held Sunday, February 2 
at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Irwin county. He was 80.
Rev. John Gibbs officiated at the 2:00 p.m. service with interment in 
the church cemetery.
The deceased was born August 3,1916 in Rome, GA to Floyd Lafayette and 
Clara Lorraine Youngblood Alford. A retired employee of O. L. Luke Oil 
and Fertilizer and a farmer, he was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church 
and had lived in Irwin county since he was 9 years old. He. attended Lax 
Elementary School and Ocilla High School. Mr. Alford was a Mason and a 
member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
He is survived by wife, Estelle Jones Alford of Ocilla; one son: Max 
Alford of Dallas, TX; two daughters: Sue Barnes of Lake Blackshear and 
Katie BonEnfant of Tampa, FL; two sisters: Alliene Sudduth of Atlanta 
and Juanita Mixon of Orangeburg, , SC; 7 grandchildren and 3 great 
grandchildren.
Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
