                William A. Pryor
   Mr. William Adams Pryor 87, died Wednesday at Crisp County Hospital.
   A native of Fitzgerald, Mr. Pryor served as Crisp county surveyor for many 
years.  He was active member of the First Methodist Church, the George Greene 
Sunday School Class and the church choir.
   Mr. Pryor was also a member and past master of Cordele Lodge #296 F&AM, 
past Commander of Cyrene Commandery #13 and member of Gethsemane 
Commandery #20, Cordele Chapter #55 Royal Arch Masons of which he was a 
past high priest, Cordele Lions Club, Georgia Horticulture Society, American 
Camellia Society, Surveying and  Mapping Society of Georgia and other 
professional organizations.  He attended Georgia Tech and graduated from 
Emory.
   Survivors include his wife, Mrs. W. A. Pryor of Cordele, a daughter Mrs. Newell 
C. Bodge of Cordele; a brother Frank L. Pryor of Houston Tex., five 
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the First Methodist Church.  
Burial will follow in Sunnyside cemetery.  Dekle Funeral Home has charge of 
arrangements

Married 1st Julia Turner died at Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia
              They were divorced after many years.
Married 2nd Mary Frances Shepherd, she survives him.

He was the son of the late Shepherd Green Pryor, Jr who was born19 November 
1861 in Sumter County, Georgia  and  died 26 March 1952 in Fitzgerald, Ben 
Hill County, Georgia.  His mother Anna Gatewood Wilson was born 8 January 
1864 in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia and died 24 Jun 1940 Fitzgerald, 
Ben Hill County, Georgia.
