— Jackie D. Paulk, 71, of Alapaha in Irwin County, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005

at her residence. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at Spring Hill 
Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County with Elder Marvin Paulk and Elder Paul 
Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation 
will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla. 

Mrs. Paulk was born March 17, 1933, in Berrien County, to the late Clayton C. 
and Edna Mixon Daniel. A farmer and homemaker, Mrs. Paulk lived in Berrien 
County and Irwin County most of her life and was a former resident of Ambrose. 
She was a member and played the piano for over 50 years at Spring Hill 
Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County. Mrs. Paulk also sang with the M.J. 
Paulk Family Singers. 

 Mrs. Paulk is survived by her husband M.J. Paulk of Alapaha in Irwin County; 
two sons and daughters-in-law, Elder Marvin and Brenda Paulk of Garden City and 
Billy and Gina Paulk of Ocilla; five grandchildren, Markus Paulk, Melinda 
Purvis, Channing Paulk, Clint Paulk and Clay Paulk; four great grandchildren; 
and two sisters, Barbara D. Harper of Alapaha and Jurelle D. Norris of 
Valdosta. 

Paulk Funeral Home in Ocilla is in charge of arrangements
