"Hybernia" Paulk

   Mrs. Mary "Hybernia" Griner Paulk, age 73, of West Gordon Street, 
Douglas, GA died Thursday, September 5, 1996 at Coffee Regional Medical 
Center following an extended illness.
  Mrs. Paulk, a native of Berrien County, GA, was born
 March 22, 1923, the daughter of the late Robert Mack and Mary Ida 
McDaniel Griner. She was a homemaker and the widow of the late Jacob D. 
Paulk. Her membership was at Ocilla Baptist Church.
  Survivors include: two daughters: Mary Jake Bridges
 of Douglas and Kay Aldridge of Willacoochee; one sister: Maxine Snowden 
of Fitzgerald; one brother: Ronald Griner of Nashville, GA; 5 grandchildren
 and 5 great grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 6 at the 
Sims Funeral Home Chapel in Douglas with Rev. Shep Johnson officiating. 
Lois Mills provided soft music for the prelude and postlude. Interment
 followed at the Paulk Family Cemetery in Irwin county. Active 
pallbearers were: Harold Jake Carlton, Brian Aldridge, Troy Aldridge, 
Kyle Paulk, Robert Griner and Johnny Wilson, III.
 Sims Funeral Home of Douglas was in charge of
arrangements.
