 Harold F. McCook
The funeral service for Harold F. McCook of Ocilla, who died Friday, February 
6, 1998 in Tift General Hospital, was held Sunday, February 8 at Turner 
Primitive Baptist Church in Tift County. He	was 74.
Rev. Charles Nichols and Rev. 	Huey Nichols officiated at the 2:00 p.m. 
service with interment in. Turner Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tommy Harper,	Bo Cox, Larry Bess, Wilbur Moore, Gregory P. 
Stokes, Randall McCranie, and Jimmy Herod. Pianist and soloist was Kaylon 
Whitley. 
The deceased was born January 29, 1924 in Tift County to J. W. and Mollie 
Barnes McCook. He was  preceded in death by first wife, Doris Cox McCook. A 
farmer. and member of Pine Hill Baptist Church, he was a WWII Army veteran and 
had lived in Irwin County most of his life.
He is survived by wife. Martha Hudson McCook of Ocilla; two sons: Dennis McCook 
of Lenox and J.W. McCook of Cordele; one daughter: Louise M.  Cox of Dublin; 
one stepson: Jimmy Herod of Fitzgerald; two stepdaughters: Pat Lupo and Nelda 
Vigneri. both of Ocilla; three brothers: Ozelee McCook, of Box Springs, John H. 
McCook of Abbeville, and Earl McCook of Orlando, FL; 10 grandchildren and 7 
great grandchildren.
Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
