Carrie Ewing Johnson

Mrs. Carrie Ewing Johnson of Ocilla died Saturday, September. 12. 1998, 
at the Osceola Nursing Home. She was 95. .
Mrs. Johnson was born November 25, 1902 in Troy, AL, the daughter of Mr. 
and Mrs. Burl Ewing. At an early age she  moved to Worth County, and  
later met Bob Johnson. God blessed them with six children,  four boys 
and two girls. In 1937 they relocated to Ocilla where they became 
members of Pine Elder Baptist Church and later moved to New Bethel 
Baptist Church.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Johnson.
Survivors include a daughter, Warnie Brown of Jacksonville, FL and a 
son, John Johnson of Ocilla; one sister, Wi1manell Goodman of Tifton;35 
grandchildren, 104 great grandchildren and 80 great great grandchildren.
Services were held at New Bethel Baptist Church of Ocilla on Thursday, 
September 17 at 1 p.m., with Rev. I. B. Harmon    officiating.
Music was provided by the choir.
Active Pallbearers were William Johnson, Terry Johnson, Mark Johnson, 
Willie Johnson, Ricko Johnson and Eric Wynn.
Honorary Pallbearers were deacons of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Interment was held at Ocilla Cemetery.
Davis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
