JoAnn Howell

 The funeral service for JoAnn Hogan Howell of Ocilla, who died Friday, May 30, 
1997 at 
Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, was held Sunday, June 1 at Ocilla 
Baptist CHurch. 
She was 53.
 Rev. Phil Wilkes officiated at the 2:00 p.m. service with interment in Big 
Creek Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Bobby Paulk, Jule Ed Thomas, Jimmy
Hogan, Scott Taylor, Mark Taylor, Richard Taylor, Steve
Taylor, Robert Clark, Jimmy Paulk, Billy Vickers, Blair
Joiner and Harmon Davis.
Pianist was Ann Martin and soloist Judy Griffin.
  The deceased was born  February 15,1944 in Irwin County to Rev. Clifford M. 
and 
Eleanor Hattie "Lena" Hall  Hogan. A secretary for food services at Irwin 
County 
Board of Education and member of Ocilla
 Baptist Church, Mrs. Howell had lived in Irwin County all her life. She was a 
G.A. 
Leader and member of the Women Missionary Union at Ocilla Baptist Church.
  She is survived by her husband, Marchmon Howell of
 Ocilla; one daughter and son-in-law: Deidre H. and David Bryan of Tifton; one 
brother and sister- in-law: Damon and Faye Hogan of Nashville, GA; 5 grand 
children: 
Brooke, Cason, Colin, Myles and Mary JoAnn.
  Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
