Alfred, Jason       
MANHATTAN Jason Alfred, age 21, of East 76th Street in NYC, formerly of
Albany, died Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at his NYC residence. Jason was
born in Albany where he resided all of his life, recently moving to NYC. He
was a graduate of the Colonie High School and graduated from the University of
Massachusetts at Amherst this past May. He is survived by his father Lawrence
Alfred of Guilderland and the late Risa Kaplan Alfred. Brother of David Alfred
of NYC. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Roslyn Kaplan of Menands,
N.Y.; and paternal grandmother, Madeline Alfred of Lenox, Mass. He also leaves
aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Jason was predeceased by his
maternal grandfather, Sonny Kaplan and paternal grandfather, Leonard Alfred.
At the request of the family, private graveside services will be held on
Friday at the Temple Israel Cemetery in Guilderland, N.Y. Due to the upcoming
Sabbath and the Yom Kippur Holiday, there will be no traditional period of
mourning. Memorial contributions may be made to the Risa Alfred Sand Creek
Scholarship Fund, c/o Fleet Bank, Wolf Road, Colonie NY 12205 or a charity of
ones choice.
