This is a photograph of the home of John Wesley Bryant and Judith Ann Cox Bryant.
They were married in 1877 so this home was built sometime after that. There were
at least five kids born in this home. In May, 1923, John Wesley Bryant passed
away. After the Bryant's death, another nearby family resided in the home for
quite some time after that until that community became uninhabited. The former
location of this home is about 1 1/2 miles off Heidelbach School Road in Patrick
County, Virginia in the woods on private property that is posted. The home was
burned down years ago as the new owner made some improvements of the property.

Additional Comments:
This photo was made accessible by the family of Verna Rorrer Shepherd. This is
the homeplace of both of our great grandparents.
