Douglas Enterprise - January 5, 2014
 Mrs. Joy Lynn McKinnon, age 53, of Douglas passed away suddenly early Saturday 
morning December 21, 2013 at the Coffee Regional Medical Center, following a 
brief illness. She was born August 18, 1960, to the late Ben Lewis Lynn and the 
late Constance Frances Gowen Lynn.
 Mrs. McKinnon, a native of Fernandina Beach FL was a homemaker. 
 Survivors include her husband, Guy Kendall McKinnon of Douglas, GA; children, 
Kody McKinnon and Jacob Wayne Carlvon both of Jacksonville, FL; one grandchild, 
Kaylyn Dawn McKinnon of Broxton, GA; two sisters, Benita Laurendine of 
Hilliard, FL and Kerri Johnson of Parrottsville, TN; brother, Kevin Lynn of New 
Port, TN; several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
 Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the 
Chapel Of Ricketson  Funeral Home, with Rev. Justin Laurendine officiating. 
Eulogies were given by Benita Laurendine, Kerri Johnson, Jacob Wayne Carlyon 
and Kevin Lynn.
 The interment followed in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Alma.
 Active pallbearers were Kee Lauredine, Wayne McKinnon, Steve McKinnon, Clay 
McKinnon, Nathan Carver, William Mills.
 A special musical selection, Amazing Grace was presented as a congregation 
hymn, led by Rev. Justin Laurendine, with Paula Mills at the keyboard. Prelude 
and postlude soft hymns were rendered by Paula Mills, at the keyboard.
 Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
