Note added by Melody McCook <mmccook@bellsouth.net>:
Honorary Pallbearer Marvin Kirkland, and active pallbearers Roy Kirkland and Milton Kirkland
were all nephews of TJ McGovern. They were all the sons of his sister Laura McGovern Kirkland,
wife of Ellijay (LJ) Kirkland.
Billie Kirkland was their step-brother and was the son of Belle Hursey Kirkland, 2nd wife of
Ellijay (LJ) Kirkland and sister to Victoria Hursey McGovern. LJ raised him as his own child,
although I don't know if there was ever any formal adoption back then.
Ellijay (LJ) Kirkland has only one surviving child, a daughter from the second marriage,
still living in Douglas.
