The Christian Index, 08 Sept 1932
On June 25, 1932, God, in His infinite wisdom, saw fit to release from pain the
body of our beloved sister, Mrs. Annie Brown Ferguson.

Mrs. Ferguson was born November 3, 1851, the daughter of Capt. W. H. and Markie
Collier Brown. On December 10, 1872, she became the bride of John H.
Ferguson. Three sons and one daughter blessed this union.

In early girlhood she joined Fellowship Baptist Church in Upson County, Ga. In
the late fall of 1911, her family moved to Talbot County and she placed her
membership with the Valley Grove Baptist Church at Woodland, Ga.

Having always been frail, for several years she has been a semi-invalid, rarely
ever leaving her home. It gave her great pleasure to have her friends and
loved ones visit her there. All who knew her will miss her gentleness, her
kindness and her hospitality.

Left to mourn her are three sons, M. J. Ferguson, of Ambrose, Georgia; C. A.
Ferguson, of Thomaston, Georgia; and John Thompson Ferguson of Woodland,
Georgia; one daughter, Mrs. J. T. Pearce, of Woodland, Georgia; several
brothers and sisters, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren,
and a wide circle of friends. To those there will be a missing smile, a vacant
chair, a beloved voice that is forever stilled.

To them we extend our heartfelt sympathy and our prayers. We recommend that
this memorial be published in The Christian Index, also recorded on the records
of the church, the Woman's Missionary Society and a copy sent the family.

Mrs. Glynn Buchanan,
C. W. Hendricks,
R. J. Daniel,
MRs. A. J. Webster, Committee.
