Alberta P. Dover
 Mrs. Alberta Powell Dover, 86,of Wray, passed away March 5,1997 at Tift 
General Hospital following a short illness.
 Mrs. Dover, a native of Telfair county, had lived in the Wray and Ambrose area 
for the past several
years. She was a retired lunchroom employee of the Coffee County School System. 
She attended the Wray Holiness Baptist Church.
 Survivors include one daughter,Hazel Phillips of Wray; one sister Mrs. Lucille 
Hargraves of Savannah; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several
nieces, nephews and other relatives.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Jackson Dover and a son, 
Ernest Dover.
 Funeral services were held March 7, 1997 at 3 p.m. at the Wray Holiness 
Baptist Church with Rev.Thurman Griffin and Rev. Steve Willingham officiating. 
Interment
followed in the Wray Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwin county.
 Active pallbearers were Henry Shaddix, Walter Chaney, Mark Elder, Aaron 
Griner, Silas Carver and Bobby Cobb.
 Honorary Pallbearers were George Dockery, Milton Royal,
Clayton Russ, Fraxier Porter, Kellie Ruth Rigdon, Geneva Youngblood, Rev. 
Farrell Harper, Aldine Merritt,
George Paulk, Kathy Paulk, C.B.McCauley, Julian Royal and Quincy Purvis.
 Special musical selections,"Amazing Grace" was rendered by Mrs. Johnnie Royal 
and "Leave Me A Message" was rendered by Janice Young with Christopher Phillips 
at
the piano.
 Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
