Obituary, Citizens & Georgian - Montezuma, Ga. April 27, 1961:
MRS. Redding S. DeVaughn
Mrs. DeVaughn, Former Resident, Passes Suddenly.
Funeral services for Mrs. Redding DeVaughn of Washington, Ga. were conducted 
Sunday afternoon at Tignall Baptist Church near Washington.

Mrs. DeVaughn, a former resident of Montezuma, died suddenly Friday night in 
Atlanta where she was attending a meeting of Georgia Pilot Clubs. She was 
Secretary of Wilkes County Board of Education for many years and was recently 
elected President of the Washington Pilot Club. She was an active member of 
Tignall Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Redding S. DeVaughn; one son, McLendon DeVaughn, 
both of Washington; her mother, Mrs. Moses Lott of Nichols; two sisters and 
four brothers.


Additional Comments:
Husband Redding S. DeVaughn is James Redding Sherwood DeVaughn, 1910-1963, a 
son of McLendon Sherwood DeVaughn (1879-1963) of Montezuma, Macon County, 
Georgia, and Annie Elisabeth "Bessie" Sims (1877-1975)

Myrtice is daughter of Moses & Minnie Lee Lott of Coffee County, Georgia.
