Leonard McCoy "Coy" Lacey   
TIFTON  Coy Lacey was born in Boston (Ga.), Dec. 17, 1928. He raised his 
family in Quitman and Tifton. Coy proudly served in the U. S. Army during the 
Korean War. Coy worked for many years as general sales manager of Griffin Ford 
in Tifton. He also worked for Hunter Motor Company in Quitman and other car 
dealerships in South Georgia. He was an avid golfer and a member of Springhill 
Country Club.Coy is survived by his wife, Venita Youngblood Lacey of Tifton and 
son, Lavon Lacey of Atlanta. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina 
Lacey English, and one brother, Waymon Lacey. He was the son of Frances and 
Dudley Lacey, both deceased. Other survivors include his brothers and sisters, 
Earl and Carolyn Lacey of Quitman, Buddy and Betty Lacey of Moultrie, Lois 
Eddings of Thomasville, Mary and Bobby Odom of Villa Rica, Dean and Edgar Croft 
of Thomasville, and Ruby and Wayne Dove of Grady County. He is also survived by 
numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.Coy was a member 
of Tifton First Church of the Nazarene where, for many years, he taught Sunday 
School and led music.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation 
Army.Coy passed away peacefully in Tifton on Monday, Oct. 1, 2007. Viewing will 
take place from 7 to 9 tonight at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors in 
Tifton, with a graveside service to be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Campground 
Cemetery in Morven, with the Rev. T. Manuel Johnson officiating.You may sign
