Alvin W. Krech II
A memorial service for Alvin W. Krech II, of Mt. Dora, Fla., will be held at 
First Presbyterian Church in Eustis, Fla. on Saturday, June 14, 2003. The Rev. 
Lubert Van Dullen will officiate. Mr. Krech died May 7 at his residence. Born 
Jan. 18, 1925 in New York City, N.Y., he was the son of the late Dr. Shepard 
and Mary Chapin Krech. He was a retired, charter boat captain in St. 
Petersburg, Fla. and Miami, Fla. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during 
World War II. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Groton School 
Alumni and Lake Eustis Sailing Club. Survivors include a son, Bill Krech of 
Thomasville; daughters, Mary Ann Krech of Ocala, Fla., Caroline Balistrieri of 
San Diego, Calif., Cassie Krech of Mt. Dora, Fla.; brothers, Dr. Shepard Krech 
of Easton, Maryland, Merrill Chapin Krech of Coral Gables, Fla.; 
grandchildren, Alvin W. Krech III of Orlando, Fla., Hull Searcy Krech, David 
Haskell Krech both of Thomasville, Jonathan Nolan Guthrie of Ocala, Fla., 
Cassie Anne McClure of Phoenix, Ariz., Churchill Hudson; great-grandson, Cody 
Guthrie both of Ocala, Fla.; and great-granddaughter, Alexis Balistrieri. Mr. 
Krech will be cremated and his ashes spread in the Atlantic Ocean off Big Pine 
Key, Fla. Memorials may be made to the Women for Hospice in Lake/Sumter, P.O. 
Box 1741, Mt. Dora, Fla. 32757. -- Allen & Allen Funeral Home
