 Services for James Edward Knaff, 90, (Address omitted), Coolidge, are at 11 
a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2003 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 16686 U.S. 
Hwy. 319 North, Thomasville , the Rev. Andrew Anderson, pastor. Elder Alfred 
Smith III, pastor of Sweetfield M.B. Church in Merrillville, will officiate 
and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery with military honors. Active 
pallbearers are nephews. Mr. Knaff died Sunday, June 29 at his residence. Born 
Sept. 22, 1912 in Oliver Springs, Tenn., he was a son of the late Edward Knaff 
and Allie Felker Knaff. He was married to Jannie Lee Bevard, was a farmer and 
had lived here for 51 years after moving from Oliver Springs. He was a member 
of Little Leaf Baptist Church in Oliver Springs and Sweetfield Missionary 
Baptist Church in Merrillville. Survivors include his wife, Jannie Lee Knaff 
of Coolidge; daughters, Lillie Mae Knaff of Coolidge, Patricia Ann Knaff of 
Coolidge; a son, Alfred Bevard Jr. of Thomasville; a sister, Ruby Jean Oliver 
of Oakridge, Tenn.; a host of other relatives and friends. Repast will be at 
Francis Weston YMCA, 416 W. Clay St., Thomasville. Mr. Knaff will be on view 
from 10 a.m. Saturday until the service at the church. -- Hadley's Funeral Home
