Reciel Fielding Sr.
Mr. Fielding died on May 17 at his residence. The services will be held at 11 
a.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at Ochlochnee Baptist Church, where he was a 
member. The Rev. Neal Hagar, the Rev. Dennis Norman and the Rev. Leon Jones 
will officiate. Internment will be in the Ochlochnee City Cemetery. Reciel was 
the son of the late Theodore Fielding and Lillian Griffin Fielding Moore; he 
was born on June 8, 1936 in Thomas County. The Federal Emergency Management 
Association (FEMA) has employed Reciel for the past 14 years. He was also 
retired from the United States Air Force where he was ranked as a Master 
Sargeant. Mr. Fielding was married to Wanda Martin Fielding who survives. Other 
survivors include son and daughter-in-law Reciel Jr. and Joann Fielding of 
Wyoming, Minn.; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Angela Fielding of 
Ochlochnee; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Chris Georgploulos of 
Queensbury, N.Y.; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Randall Forrest of Panama 
City, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Richard Hall of Murray, Ky.; son, 
Eric Champion of Ochlochnee; son, Martin Champion of Ochlochnee; son, Andrew 
Champion of Ochlochnee; son and daughter-in-law, James and Heidi Champion of 
Melbourne, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Heather Champion of 
Monticello, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Dewayne Hayes of 
Monticello, Fla. ; also surviving are sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Lewis 
Haralson of Thomasville; sister and brother-in-law, Leigh and Jimmy Dunlap of 
Cairo; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sharon Fielding of Ochlochnee; 
sister-in-law, Lillian Fielding of Thomasville; brother and sister-in-law, Wade 
and Jannette Moore of Morganton, N. C.; 18 grandchildren; seven great-
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Fielding was preceded in 
death by his mother, Lillian Griffin Fielding Moore; father, Theodore Fielding; 
son, Carey Fielding; and brother, Barney Fielding. The pallbearers will be the 
Air Force Color Guard from Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta. The family will 
receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may sign
