Services for Daisy Belle Hadley Evans, New York City, N.Y., are at 3 p.m. 
today, July 20, 2003 at Hadley's Funeral Chapel with Rev. John H. Malone, St. 
Luke C.M.E. Church officiating. Interment will be at Peaceful Rest Cemetery, 
Thomasville. Pallbearers will be members of the family and friends. Mrs. Evans 
died July 11, 2003 in Queens, New York. Born in Thomasville August 9, 1908, 
she was the daughter of the late Richard and Francena Hill Hadley. She 
attended Ochlocknee Elementary School and later became the wife of the late 
Joe Evans of West Palm Beach, Fla. who died in 1962. Mrs. Evans lived in West 
Palm Beach, Fla. until 1963 when she moved to New York City and remained until 
she died. She was a child care worker at Lenox Hill Day Care Center of New 
York City, resident representative for the Casabe Houses of New York Tenants 
Association, President of the Missionary Board for over 25 years, member of 
the Pastor's Aides, Lilies of the Valley, Sunday School and the Senior Choir 
and a member of First Sharon Baptist Church of New York City. Survivors 
include devoted daughter, Delores Evans-Thompson of Cambria Heights, NY; a 
great aunt, Princetta Greene; cousins Charlie and Bessie Mae Hill, Allen Ross, 
Lossie Frederick, Juanita Davis, Rosa Lee Hart, all of Thomasville. God 
children are Susan Campbell of Atlantis, Fla., Cora Lee Robinson, West Palm 
Beach, Fla., Pauline Cone of Thomasville, and Alberta Manley of Bronz, N. Y.; 
and a host of other relatives and dear friends. God sent a very special 
person, Minister Nehemiah Joiner of New York, N.Y. -- Hadley's Funeral Home.
