Thomasville Times Enterprise - April 20, 2003

Services for Wilma Blackmon Defnall, age 83, of Thomasville, will be at 10 
a.m. Monday, April 21, 2003 at Dawson Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee 
Waller and Rev. Rutledge Courtney officating. A private interment at Laurel 
Hill Cemetery will follow. Mrs. Defnall died Saturday, April 19, 2003 after a 
long illness. Born December 6, 1919 in Ozark, Ala., she was the daughter of 
the late Marion Sanford Blackmon and Mary Medley Blackmon. A homemaker, she 
was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church and the Lighthouse Sunday School 
Class. Her husband, John Hays Defnall, to whom she was married for 60 years 
survives. Also surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Carla 
Defnall of Thomasville; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Cranford Meeks 
of Thomasville; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Rod Cantey of Atlanta; six 
grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her brother and three sisters 
preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made 
to Dawson Street Baptist Church, 1025 N. Dawson Street, Thomasville, Ga., 
31792 or to the American Cancer Society, Inc., P.O. Box 1201, Albany, Ga. 
31702. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral
