 George Davis Sr.

Services for Mr. George Davis Sr., 100, of Thomasville, will be at noon,
Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003 at Glascow AME Church where he was a member. The Rev.
Tommy Horne will officiate and burial is in the Glascow Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are friends of the family.

Mr. Davis died December 28, 2003 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born May 8,
1902 in Thomas County, he was a son of the late Gabe and Mae Belle Davis. He
was married to the late Susie A. Williams. He was a retired farmer with
Seminole Plantation.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Jean Fisher of Boston; a daughter
and her husband, Idella & Virgil Bryant of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a daughter,
Lula Herron of Newark, N.J.; sons, Tom Davis of Boston, James Davis of
Thomasville;, GA., sons and wives, George & Lizetta Davis Jr., Thomasville,
GA. Albert & Ethel Davis of Los Angeles, CA.; goddaughter, Joretha
Fuller,Boston, GA.; a special friend, Sylvia Haywood of Boston; 22
grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends after the services at the church. Relatives
and friends are asked to meet at 11 a.m. at 2997 Boston-Monticello Rd. for
