She was born Feb. 16, 1905, in Franklin County, Ga., a daughter of Joseph Randall and Annie Frances Jordan Ayers. She had made her home in the Thomasville are since 1939, coming from Franklin County. She was retired from Wrenn Hosiery but spent many years nurturing and providing a wonderful home for her family, all of whom she loved dearly. She was a member of First Church of Christ of High Point. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Howard Coker, in 1979; a son, Joseph Howard Coker, in 1995; and five brothers. Surviving are three sons, William Donald Coker and his wife, Nancy, Kenneth Flanders Coker and his wife, Virginia, and Jerry Maynard Corker and his wife, Oberia, all of Thomasville; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Frances C. Coker of Thomasville; seven grandchildren, Celeste Payne and husband, Rusty, Brian Coker and wife, Kathryn, Josh Coker and wife, Kim, Teresa Ellerbrock, Susan Swaim and husband, Mark, Julie Lloyd and husband, Joe, Rev. Kenneth Coker and wife, Nikki; 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at The Chapel of J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Jack Stratus and the Rev. Kenny Coker. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. High Point Enterprise 13-Dec-2002 High Point NC
