Memorial services for Robert H. Bearden are at 4 p.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2003 
at First Baptist Church in Cairo. The Rev. Dr. Ron McCaskill and the Rev. Dr. 
Milton Gardner will officiate. Mr. Bearden died Sunday, July 20 at Grady 
General Hospital in Cairo. Born Sept. 11, 1924 in Shelbyville, Tenn., he was a 
son of the late Crawford Berry and Mary Trolinger Bearden. On Dec. 23, 1944, 
he married Alyne M. Bearden of Cairo, who survives. Mr. Bearden was retired 
from the Grady Stockyards, member First Baptist Church in Cairo and served in 
World War II. Survivors include a daughter, Harriette B. Reed of Tallahassee, 
Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Robert H. (Bubba) and Betty Bearden of Cairo; 
grandchildren, Robbie Bearden of Cairo, R.J. Reed of Tallahassee, Fla., Hollie 
Bearden of Jacksonville, Fla.; great-grandson, Owen Bearden of Cairo; 
brothers, Douglas Bearden, Rell Bearden, Fred Bearden, Johnny Bearden all of 
Cairo, Sonny Bearden of Shelbyville; and a sister, Mary Ann Henderson of 
Dalton. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jimmy, Mark and 
Billy Bearden. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund 
of First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1538, Cairo, Ga. -- Clark Funeral Home
