At 17, Ralph met the love of his life, JoAnn, then 14, and it was

Dec. 21, 1959 they did, knowing they would always be the love of
one another's life. Ralph served four years in the Navy. After five
years of wanting to start a family, God blessed them with a daughter,
Dana Lynn. They were soon blessed again with a son, Michael Matthew.
After accepting the Lord as his Savior he served as a deacon at
New Shiloh Baptist Church for many years. He retired from Sunnyland
after 35-plus years. Ralph will always be remembered as a hard
working man and one who gave his all for everyone he knew. Ralph
was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend;
now gone on to join parents, beloved in-laws and friends in heavenly
rest. He leaves behind a wife, JoAnn Bass; daughter and son-in-law,
