Tuesday morning, 21 May 1929, about 6:30 AM, Hinsonton

children, all of whom are living except the oldest son. The family chain was
broken in May 1926, when his wife was called to the great beyond to await his

He was born 13 Jul 1851 and had been a
member of the Primitive Baptist church for 49 years. He had served as
postmaster 34 years. He was loved for his honesty and upright dealings. Funeral
services were conducted by Elders J. T. Davis, L. Johnson and Rev H. N.
Burnett. Songs "Sweet Bye and Bye" and "In the Land Where We'll Never Grow Old"
were rendered by Messrs. Herbert Luke, Roy Thomas, Bernie Edwards and Miss
