   Ethel G. (Odom) Adan
   Ethel  G.  (Odom)  Adan  died at the Alderson's Convalescent Hospital,
   Woodland Saturday, April 6, 2002, at age 87.
   Born  Dec.  7, 1915, in Metcalf, Ga., Mrs. Adan had been a Yolo County
   resident  for  56  years. She was a homemaker all of her married life.
   She  was  the  daughter  of the late Walter and Rosie (Montford) Odom.
   According  to  her family members, "she enjoyed baking and sewing with
   her family as well as playing bridge with her friends."
   Mrs.  Adan is survived by her daughters, Sandra Adan of Sacramento and
   Bernice  Travis  and  husband  Jerry of Dunnigan; grandchildren, Karah
   Erickson and husband Philip of Esparto, Bill Beathem and wife Dee Dee,
   and   Krista   Trujillo  and  husband  Ralph,  all  of  Woodland;  and
   great-grandchildren,  Daren  Erickson of Esparto, and Karissa Trujillo
   of Woodland.
   She  is also survived by her nephews, Burt Odom and wife Pat, whom she
   had  raised  since  the age of four, Jeffrey Hurst and wife Cindy, and
   Ronnie  Hurst  and  wife  Gloria;  and  nieces, Jerri Dean and husband
   Charles and Rosiland Hurst, all of Georgia.
   Mrs. Adan was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Adan,
   in July of 2001; siblings, Leo, Little, Robert, Gladys, Leona Lillian;
   and niece, June Chandler, whom she had also raised from childhood.
   A  graveside  service  is scheduled at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 13, at
   the Capay Cemetery in Esparto.
   The  family  requests memorial donations be sent to Yolo Hospice, P.O.
   Box 1014, Davis, 95617.
   McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
