West-Jersey Pioneer. (Bridgeton, N. J.) 1851-1884: June 08, 1861 June 8, 1861
Accident from Burning Fluid.
On Tuesday evening last, a daughter of Mr. Thomas Clifford of this town, while
lighting a lamp by placing it to the grate of the stove, was severely burned; the
fluid coming in contact with her dress, and igniting. Assistance being immediately
tendered, she was rescued, and will probably recover.
