Wallace R. Swope

	Wallace Ray Swope, 50, Harrisonville, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday 
December 20, 1996 in Harrisburg Hospital.
	Born October 6, 1946 in Knobsville, he was a son of the late Floyd A. 
and Janet Bard Swope.
	He was a Protestant and a U.S. Army veteran.
	He was last employed by Pennfield Feed, Boonsboro, MD.  He had been a 
farmer, carpenter and trucker.
	Surviving are four sister; Evelyn Clonch, Kent, WA.; Dorothy Royal, 
Manheim; Iola Zeger, Harrisonville and Wilma Sowers, Chambersburg; five 
brothers: Cloyd and Warren, both of McConnellsburg; Donald and Lee, both of 
Harrisonville and Rev. Willis, Hancock and nieces and nephews.
	Three sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
	Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 24 at the Pleasant 
Ridge Nazarene Church, Harrisonville.  Revs. Dan Porterfield and William Swope 
officiated.  Burial was made in the church cemetery.
	the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., Harrisonville, was in Charge 
of  arrangements.
