Howard J. Smith Jr. 
Breezewood, 29 

Howard J. Smith Jr., 29, Breezewood, died unexpectedly Saturday, February 28, 
2009. 
He was born in Phillipsburg, April 9, 1979, the son of Howard J. Smith Sr. of 
Wallaceton, Pa., and Beverly E. (Vaux) Thompson, Hopewell. He was the husband 
of Selina K. (Seelig) Smith, whom he married on June 28, 2008. They had been 
together for 11 years. 
He attended Wells Valley United Methodist Church, Wells Tannery. 
He was a truck driver for Brush Mountain Trucking in Center Hall, Pa., and he 
loved carpentry, fishing, riding motorcycles, building models and his family. 
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by sons: Daryl W. Seelig, 
Breezewood; Lance D. Seelig, Breezewood; and Cody M. Koontz, Johnstown; a 
brother, Edward R. Emigh, Hopewell; a sister, Nicole S. Clippinger, Johnstown; 
father-in-law and mother-in-law: David and Mae Bard; and he also was expecting 
a third child in September. 
Funeral services will be held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., 
McConnellsburg, at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, March 6. Pastor Ken Grunden will 
officiate. Interment will be made in Wells Valley United Methodist Cemetery. 
There will be visitation on Thursday, March 5, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 
Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., Mc- McConnellsburg. There will also be 
visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Howard for 
his children to the Selina K. Smith Memorial Fund, First National Bank, 4140 
East State Street, Hermitage, PA 16148. 

Additional Comments:
Howard is my son-in-law whom I greatly miss.  A man could not ask for a better 
man to take care of his daughter.
