LOCAL AND PERSONAL.

Rev. Thomas Rose, a Baptist minister of prominence in his church, was
burned to death Thursday afternoon, in the barn of his son-in-law, John
F. Johnson, in Taylor township, Fulton county. He was seventy-seven
years of age, and occasionally of late he suffered from mental
aberration. He took matches from the house, and after kissing his aged
wife he went to the barn and set it on fire.
