Sherman H. Mellott

	Sherman H. Mellott, 53, RR1, Needmore, died unexpectedly at 9:30 PM, 
Thursday at his home.  He was found dead in bed by his wife.  He had suffered a 
heart condition for sometime and death was attributed to natural causes.
	He was born in Needmore on June 28, 1913, a son of the late Levi and 
Jessie Bard Mellott.
	He was a carpenter by trade and a member of the Ebenezer Methodist 
Church.
	Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Annie Hauman Mellott; two sons: Gerald 
Mellott, Washington, D.C.; Maynard Mellott, Needmore; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy 
Kline, Newark, Del.; three grandchildren; two brothers: Merrill Mellott, 
Hopewell, N.J. and Melvin, Newville.
	Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:30 PM at the Ebenezer 
Methodist Church, Needmore, with the Rev. O. A. Lumpkin officiating. Burial 
will be made in the Ebenezer Cemetery, adjoining the church.  Friends may call 
at the Sipes Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Saturday evening and the body will 
lie instate at the church one hour prior to the services on Sunday.

Additional Comments:
The month and day of the death date are incorrect. The year of date was 
determined by adding the age at the time of death to the year of birth.
