Howard L. Mellott

	Howard L. Mellott, aged 70 years, 2 months and 12 day of Baden Station, 
St. Louis, Mo. entered into rest Saturday, October 22, 1945 from the effect of 
flu and a heart ailment.  He leaves to morn his passing, his wife, Annie J, 
Mellott and the following children: Marvin E., Paul H., Woodrow W., Bomar C., 
Buford L., Lewis E. Mahuldah E., Mrs. Arpie Long and Mrs. Jessie McBride, also 
several grandchildren.
	He was the son of R. F. Mellott and Amanda Bard Mellott, both deceased, 
one sister, Mrs. A. P. Garland, Hustontown, PA. and one brother, D. Carl 
Mellott, Amaranth, PA. survive. One brother deceased.
	Funeral services December 24 at 1:30 PM from Snedmeyer Chapel, was 
borne of his last resting place in Friedmans Cemetery by 5 sons, 2 son-in-laws 
and 2 friends. One son was in the service and could not get home.
	Howard grew to manhood in Fulton County and was one among the teachers 
of the public schools at that time.  He will be sadly missed by his family and 
friends.  He left Pennsylvania in 1908 and was back on a visit only once.
