Harry B. Butch McQuade

McConnellsburg, 63 
Harry Blaine Butch McQuade, 63, McConnellsburg, died Wednesday, February 16, 
2005, at Chambersburg Hospital. He had been in poor health for the past four 
years. 
Born July 14, 1941, he was the son of Harry J. and Thesta Carbaugh McQuade. 
He retired from JLG Industries Inc. in 1998 after 25 years. He received the 
Certificate of Excellence for Leadership in 1996 and in 1989 received the 
Manager of the Year award. 
He was a member of Mount Zion Lodge 774 of McConnellsburg, and JLG Quarter 
Century Club. 
He had coached the Giants Little League team of McConnellsburg. 
Surviving are his wife, Patricia K. Foreman McQuade, whom he married December 
28, 1981; two daughters: Mrs. Shawn (Cammy L.) DeShong, McConnellsburg, and 
Tammy L. Fix, Harrisonville; a son, Christopher A. McQuade (husband of Kendra), 
McConnellsburg; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mark A. (Melinda) Peck, Big Cove Tannery; 
a stepson, Gregory R. Walters, (husband of Diane), Big Cove Tannery; a sister, 
Faye E. Bard; a daughter-in-law, Christine A. McQuade, and grandchildren: 
Timothy B. McQuade Jr., Marion; Matthew C. McQuade, Courtney A. McQuade, 
Heather D. DeShong, Hilary L. DeShong, Tyler A. Fix, and Marlee E. McQuade of 
McConnellsburg; Tessa M. Peck, Bailey C. and Carson G. Walters, Big Cove 
Tannery. 
He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy B. McQuade Sr.; one brother, Daniel 
H. (Bud) McQuade, and a grandson, Ryan M. McQuade. 
Services were held Monday, February 21, at 2:00 p.m., at Kelso-Cornelius 
Funeral Home, McConnellsburg. Rev. E. Loy Garber officiated. Masonic services 
were held Sunday, February 20, at the funeral home.
