Elsie M. Hornbaker

	Elsie M. Hornbaker, 90, Mercersburg, died at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, October 
15, 1996 in Manor-Care Health Services, Chambersburg.
	Born November 2, 1905 in Fulton County, she was a daughter of the late 
Fred B. and Clara V. Peck Gordon.
	She was a member of Blairs Valley (MD.) Apostolic Church.
	She formerly worked at Letterkenny Army Depot and H. J. Heinz Co., both 
of Chambersburg and the former Heisey Orchards, Mercersburg.
	Her husband Harry R. Hornbaker, preceded her in death December 5, 1995.
	Surviving are one daughter, Betty M. (Mrs. Boyd) Bard. Fort Loudon; 
three sons: Kenneth F, of Chambersburg; Paul A. and Dorn B., both of 
Mercersburg; eighteen grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; four step-great-
grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Beulah Beatty, 
Mercersburg and three brothers: Tom Gordon, Chambersburg; Chester Gordon, 
Jacksonville, FLA. and Harry Gordon, Mercersburg.
	In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, four 
brothers and three sisters.
	Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 19 in Lininger-Fries 
Funeral Home, Mercersburg, Rev. Kenneth E. Miller officiated.  Burial was made 
in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
	Memorial contributions may be made to the Mercersburg Montgomery Peters 
and Warren Ambulance Club, 132 E. Main Street, Mercersburg, 17236.
