Doyle J. Foore, 86 of Wells Tannery, formerly of Broad Top City, went to be 
with the Lord Friday, April 15, 2005, at Altoona Hospital.
   He was born Sept. 20, 1918, in Robertsdale, son of the late Cloyd Foore and 
Margaret (White) Foore.
   He is survived by his wife, Ruby D. (Neuder) Foore, sister, Madeline 
Manning, Indiana; brother, Donald Foore, Enola; step-sons: Gerald Randy 
Souders, Carlisle,; Rocky D. Souders, Waterfall; Russell C. Souders, 
Harrisonville; along with nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louanna M. (Woomer) Foore, on 
April 12 1988.  Also preceding him in death was a sister, Bernice Speck and a 
brother, William Foore.
   Mr. Foore served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945 during World War II. He 
retired from Central Penn construction as a foreman after 20 years of service. 
He had also worked in the coal mines.
   He was a life member of the Watson and Black post No. 142 American Legion 
in Broad Top City, and a member of the Broad Top Sportsman Association.  
During his life he enjoyed gardening, woodworking, hunting turkeys, and 
gunsmithing. He was a graduate of the former Dudley High School and was of he 
Protestant faith.
   Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at 11 a.m. At the 
Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Broad Top City, with Pastor Ken Cornelius 
officiating.  Burial in the Broad Top City I.OO.F. Cemetery.
