Norman R. Betz 09/23/05 
Chambersburg, 83 

Norman R. Betz, 83, Chambersburg, died Saturday, September 17, 2005, at Falling 
Spring Nursing and Rehab Center in Chambersburg. 
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He owned and operated a paint 
store and laundromat on King Street in Chambersburg for many years. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Betz, and his 
wife, Verdie Bard Betz, as well as two brothers: Woodrow and Kadel Betz. 
He is survived by his son, Larry Betz, Harrisonville, and two grandsons and a 
brother, Ralph Betz, Shippensburg. 
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, at 10:00 a.m. at Kelso-
Cornelius Funeral Home Inc., St. Thomas. Rev. Harold Yeager will officiate. 
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, 
September 21, and one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday. 
Interment will be at St. Thomas Cemetery in St. Thomas. The honor guard of 
Chambersburg VFW Post 1599 will conduct graveside military services.
