Michael E. H. Bard
Needmore, 82

	Michael Eret Harchelrode Bard, 82, Needmore, died at 7:20 p.m. 
Wednesday, July 27, 1997 at the Woodlawn Retirement Center, Orbisonia, where he 
had been a resident for four years.
	Born in Pleasant Ridge, he was the son of the late Oliver L. B. Bard 
and Nettie Mellott Bard.
	He was a lifetime member of Ebenezer Methodist Church in Needmore; for 
fifty years he was the church trustee and also the treasurer and Sunday School 
teacher of the adult class.
	He was a farmer and a former township auditor and Southern Fulton 
School director for ten years.
	Surviving are his wife, Evaline Elizabeth Bard, whom he married 
December 24, 1939; a son: Rev. Donald R. Bard, McConnellsburg; three grandsons; 
two great-grandchildren; a sister: Georgia Decker, McConnellsburg; three 
brothers: Raymond E. Bard and Gerald N. Bard, both of Warfordsburg.
	He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, three sisters and three 
brothers.
	Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 4 at the 
Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Needmore.  Revs. Charles Gummo and Dr. Lewis 
Parks officiated.  Burial was made in the church cemetery.
	the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home in Harrisonville, was in charge of 
arrangements.
	Memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church 
and Cemetery Association, c/o Adrian Spade, RR 1, Needmore, PA. 17238
