Chad E. Bard, 34, McConnellsburg, died at 2:58 p.m., August 9, 2008, in the 
emergency room of Altoona Hospital. His death was the result of injuries he 
sustained in a motorcycle accident. 
Born May 9, 1974 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Steven E. and Melva Miller 
Bard of Fort Loudon. 
He was a 1992 graduate of James Buchanan High School. Following graduation, he 
began employment with World Kitchens of Greencastle. 
He was a member of Fulton County Rifle and Pistol Club. His personal interests 
and hobbies were NASCAR racing and following Kasey Kahne, hunting, his home, 
animals, four-wheeling with his son, wildlife, archery and target shooting, and 
woodcrafting. 
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Michelle R. (Donaldson) 
Bard, whom he married May 7, 2005; a son, Easton James Bard, at home; paternal 
grandmother Shirley A. Maun Bard, Fort Loudon; maternal grandmother, Jean M. 
Kelly Miller, Cove Gap, Pa.; father and mother-in-law Mark and Karen Donaldson, 
State Line, Pa.; brother and sister-in-law Dave and Cindy Hann, Greencastle; 
and nephews: Jordon R. Miller and Brady A. Strite and niece, Dulcie L. Hann; 
aunts, uncles and cousins. 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., August 14, in Lininger-Fries 
Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, with Pastor Kevin W. Wade officiating. Burial 
will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Lemasters. 
Viewing will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home and 
one hour prior to the services Thursday.
